I love Camp!

Hey guys!
This post is all about the Elkanah House Grade 6 camp to Rocklands.

Last week Wednesday (9 March) the whole of my grade left for camp.
We were headed for Rocklands Campsite, a place that I went to in Grade 3.
In the morning, I felt quite sick, but my friends, Tayla and Daniella, and their mom, made me feel better.
Through out the bus journey,( which was very, very, very long) all I could think of were my memories of grade 3, but now I'm going to tell you guys of my newest memories.

Something I will never forget is when I swung across a little muddy pond and landed in the mud!
I got all dirty, but I enjoyed every bit of it.
Another good memory would be when my friends and I started singing at night while we lay down in our beds. It made me feel more comfortable in our cabin when we started singing, but don't ask me why!

A challenge that I faced, and that some of my group members faced as well, was that we were being left out in the activities, and we didn't get to speak our minds. Next time I do group work, I won't be shy and ignore my own ideas. I'll speak my mind.

On the whole, camp was great!

#WhyBother - Goals

#WhyBother - Goals

Everyone says that you should make goals, but why must we?
Here are a few tips, reasons and examples to help you, whether you are an adult or a child.

What are Goals?

Goals are basically things we want to do to succeed in life or to make life more adventurous and exciting.
Examples:

To Succeed: Get 80% on my Maths Test

Adventurous and Exciting: Go on the Slingshot

Sometimes our goals help us socially. Example: Make more friends
Sometimes our goals help us physically. Example: Climb Table Mountain

Smart Goals:

A Smart Goal is an attainable goal, meaning it is possible to achieve. Goals must be realistic and sensible. Example: Run 5km.

My Goals

Here are some of my goals, I thought you might like some examples.
1. Get 90% for my Maths Test.
2. Get into the A- Team for Hockey.
